A message from Principal Stella Flannery
London is an exciting but demanding metropolis. Studying and living in London can be hectic and it is sometimes difficult to find space and time in which to reflect. Creating the opportunity to share views and values in a secure and mutually respectful setting is a critical part of our SFX mission and helps to foster a strong community, which is compassionate and accomodating.
Our goal at SFX is to prepare you for the challenges of making progress in a highly competitive world but also to carve out time to support you in developing personally and spiritually. We have a proven track record of achieving outstanding success in delivering a wide range of qualifications but we also pride ourselves on fostering the vision and values that will create great and ethical leaders and citizens in future.
If you join the SFX community we shall not stint in our efforts to fulfil those dual needs. We have a talented and skilful staff body which is committed to education and excited by the potential and creativity of young people. All of these attributes contribute to making SFX College a great place to study.
A message from our Student President and Vice President
SFX is an exciting place to study. As your President and Vice President we want you to know that it is a great place to come if you want to be successful in what you want to do. It’s very different than staying at school, but in a good way as it gives you the chance to develop your independence and confidence. Since coming to SFX it’s helped us to realise our potential and that’s one of the reasons why we decided to run for the roles of President and Vice President.
In terms of our plans, we are passionate about maintaining the community feel that exists here and very excited about bringing the student body together with events and activities – we’ve got loads of ideas.
Our advice to you is as you take on the jump from Year 11 to Year 12, is not to take anything for granted and always remember that hard work pays off and you will be rewarded in the future. If you decide to choose SFX as your place to study, it will be a place that you will be able to thrive, develop and grow in. The experience will be great and you will get the chance to meet new people who you may stay in touch with for the rest of your life.
We look forward to meeting you if you decide to join us in September 2015.
