Dear prospective student,
If you have a learning difference or disability and would like support, we are here to help. At SFX, the ALS department provides support for students with all types of learning differences including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Mental Health Difficulties.
Support at SFX is a positive and empowering experience that is carried out discreetly. We are a welcoming community who also specialise in helping you to make the transition into the next stage of your academic career and beyond.
We provide 1:1 support with specialist teachers, in-class support, workshops, day and residential trips. We also have a very popular SEMH curriculum including the Contribution Series, a dynamic and diverse programme to help you gain confidence, improve communication and make friends.
If you feel you need access arrangements in examinations, we can arrange an assessment.
If you have an Education, Health and Care Plan from a local authority, please let us know (in confidence) so we can put the appropriate support in place.
For further information please speak to Ms Muras-Struglinski, Acting Head of ALS in room 004 or email: j.muras@sfx.ac.uk
