Summer Grading 2021

All students must continue to attend all lessons and follow the feedback and guidance of your teachers.  For all in class assessments that take place exam concessions will be applied.  Please be aware that teachers will not be able to tell you your final grade.

Students and parent/guardians should see the relevant sections below for information on specific courses.
Year 13 A-Levels

Summer Exams aren’t going ahead, instead you will receive a Teacher Assessed Grade. This would better be called a College Assessed Grade as these will be moderated by departments and the College.
No single mark/ piece of work will determine your grade. Assessments and work that already completed including end of term assessments will be used by teachers and departments to determine grades as well as a number of in class assessments completed after the Easter Break.  Teachers will share with students the “basket of evidence” for each subject that grades will be based on.
Teachers informed students before the Easter break about the Post-Easter Assessments including information about when these will take place and what topics/topic areas the assessments will cover.  It is vital that students prepare well for these assessments and revise over the coming weeks as this will help inform the grade that you receive.  Teachers will be able to provide feedback and guidance to support you which you should use to prepare for upcoming assessments.  Please note there will be no opportunity to re-sit any assessments.

Criminology
As with A-Levels, summer exams in Criminology will not be going ahead, instead you will receive a Qualification Teacher Assessed Grade. This grade will be based on controlled assessments already completed, end of term assessments as well as a number of in class assessments completed after the Easter Break.
