Published • News
Labour MP for Vauxhall and SFX Alumni returned to St. Francis Xavier last week to meet with A level Politics and Applied Law students for a student-led Q&A.
The students quizzed Florence on what a typical week is for her as an MP, the process of becoming an MP, how much influence the Labour party has on how she votes, the structure of Parliament and the Labour party, the roles available in Parliament, how opposition parties work and how they hold the leading party accountable, the consequences of MPs refusing to vote, and discussed hot topics of MPs having a second job and accountability for MPs that break the ministerial code.
