We congratulate all our students who received their excellent public examination results today. We are delighted to see results improving on last year’s impressive pass rates across A level, BTEC, CTEC and UAL courses. Our first set of T level results have also been excellent.
The overall pass rate at Level 3 was 98%, with 46% of those achieving high grades and 27 courses returning a 100% pass rate. A level passes increased to 96% and BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma pass rates were 99%. Our UAL and CTEC programmes all achieved 100% pass rates, as did our inaugural T level course, 70% of which were high grades.
Many of our students will now be continuing their studies at university, including top Russell Group institutions.
Parsa Sianat will be studying Engineering at Edinburgh University after achieving A*in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics and A in Physics, Emilia Smola will be heading to the University of Durham to study Psychology and Grainne Gavin will be enrolling onto Criminology at the University of Bristol.
Jennifer Okafor will be studying Adult Nursing at King’s College London, having achieved D*D*D* in BTEC Level 3 Health and Social Care, Tommera Hendricks will be enrolling onto Sports Psychology at Brunel University following her D*D*D* in BTEC Level 3 Sports and Exercise Science and Kehinde Solabi will be joining the University for the Creative Arts to study Fashion and Design after receiving a Distinction in UAL Level 3 Art, Design and Communication.
Some students are choosing alternative routes to launch their careers; Jumobi Bakare will shortly be starting an internship with financial services company JP Morgan, while Zeekai Clarke will be building on his D*D*D* in BTEC level 3 IT when he begins his Higher Apprenticeship at global insurance firm Canopius. Following a successful industry placement as part of his course, T level Management and Administration student Zak Siddiqui has already started his Higher Apprenticeship with Reds 10 Construction.
Graham Thompson, St Francis Xavier Catholic Sixth Form College Principal said:
“I am very proud of these impressive results from our Year 13 students and delighted to see pass rates continuing to improve. These excellent achievements are testament to our students’ resilience, hard work and determination. We are extremely proud of them all and look forward to hearing from them as they progress into higher education and begin successful careers. I would also like to express my thanks and gratitude to our remarkable teaching and support staff who have all contributed to this excellent set of results.”
