This week, A level History students visited the National Archives in Kew, London. The National Archives is the official archive and publisher of the UK Government, storing and preserving over 1000 years of historic and significant national documents .

The students explored declassified government documents on racial segregation and the civil rights movement in the USA in the 1950s and 1960s. They also got to see a first edition print of the American Declaration of Independence - one of only 24 known to still exist!
