Media, Broadcast and Production

Course type: T Level
Awarding/exam body: Pearson Edexcel

Are you fascinated by digital storytelling and content creation?

Do you want to work in the media, broadcast and production sector?

If so, this T Level course, equivalent to three A levels with a 45-day work placement, is perfect for preparing you for a career in the media, broadcast and production sector. The two-year course gives you the unique blend of both academic and industry experience, with a work placement giving you the real-world skills you need for future employment.

You’ll learn the core principles of the media industry and essential theories, alongside developing your professional and technical skills. You’ll do practical work in our brand-new film studio and creative classrooms to develop technical skills, and will get the chance to work in two forms of media including, but not limited to: audio, moving/still image, and the written word. This will let you specialise in your own area of interest in the content creation/media production sector and study the topics detailed in the course units section.

The industrial placement, where you will spend the equivalent of 315 hours over the two years working alongside industry professionals is a fantastic, hands-on part of the course.

What Our
Students Say

The support I received from passionate teachers who pushed me to aim higher, to the tailored guidance with university applications made all the difference. SFX believed in my potential even when I doubted myself, and that encouragement gave me the confidence to pursue my ambitions. Without that foundation, I don’t think I’d be on the path to a legal career today.
