This course is designed for students who would like to pursue a career within the Sport and Exercise Science industry. Students will develop the skills regarded as essential at degree level and within employment. In addition, students will be given the opportunity to develop and apply their entrepreneurial skills in a range of scenarios.

Unit 03: Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology
Unit 08: Specialised Fitness Training
Unit 09: Research Project in Sport and Exercise Science
Unit 12: Sociocultural Issues in Sport
Unit 14: Technology in Sport and Exercise Science
Unit 15: Sports Injury and Assessment
The majority of the course is assessed via coursework. Four units are externally assessed in the form of a set-task or exam.
With this qualification, students can go on to university to study Sport and Exercise Science, Physiotherapy and other sports-related courses. They can also consider employment as a fitness trainer or a sports coach.
In addition to our Programme Entry Requirements, applicants must also meet specific Course Entry Requirements:
Grade 4 in Core Science and Grade 4 in Maths
BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport (or equivalent) with Merit and Grade 4 in Maths
