Model and former SFX student Leomie Anderson has often used her position within the fashion industry to speak openly about issues facing young women.

Now a world famous model, in her time at SFX Leomie studied A levels in English Literature, Sociology, Media Studies and Politics. It’s inspiring to see she continues to use the skills and knowledge learnt from these courses, together with the platform she has successful made for herself through her career.

Leomie has now launched her own brand ‘Lapp’ which stands for Leomie Anderson the Project the Purpose. Lapp consists of a fashion line which will feature pieces based around empowering feminist messages, alongside a blog which invites women from all backgrounds to contribute stories and pieces discussing and tackling the pressures facing young girls growing up in today’s society.

Speaking to The Telegraph in September, Leomie stated that ‘We have such young girls that follow us, we have a duty to do something positive for them.’

We’re are incredibly proud of the work Leomie is carrying out in promoting positivity and women’s empowerment, and look forward to seeing what more she has in store.
