At the start of October, first year A level Government and Politics students went on a trip to Parliament.
The students were taking part in one of a whole host of programmes offered by Parliament to schools and colleges. They went on a tour of Parliament (spotting a few MPs along the way) and took part in a workshop on pressure groups and debating.
By building on their debating skills, the workshop armed the students with techniques to form arguments, present ideas and respond to challenges in their evidence. These are excellent skills to apply to not only their Politics exams, but any other future exams and coursework during their education.
