A Level English Language & Literature
You will study prose and drama texts which will be examined alongside a range of non-literary and spoken texts, allowing you to explore the connections between them. By focusing closely on the literary and language features, you will go on to develop your own parallel writing skills, producing creative writing that uses a particular style, register and voice. The A2 course extends your study to include an examination of all three genres of prose, poetry and drama to consider variations and connections between texts in different forms. You will also have the opportunity to explore a range of unseen texts which will inform your creative writing skills.
