Introduction:
Languages are an invaluable skill to have in today’s market. A-level languages will build upon your existing knowledge gained at GCSE. It will give you a sound understanding of using your language in a variety of contexts and situations. The emphasis of each language course is to improve communication in the foreign language by developing your: listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The courses are designed to help you develop proficiency in your chosen foreign language and to appreciate the diversity of cultures.
Exam board: OCR
Specific Course Entry Requirements: In addition to the Minimum Entry Requirements you will need a grade B (preferred) in GCSE Portuguese.
Additional Information: Students holding a Grade B in Portuguese may be considered subject to a successful interview with a language teacher.
Students who have already taken AS Level may be accepted directly into the A2 course, depending on their AS result and an interview with the Head of Department.
