Introduction:
Psychology is the scientific study of understanding human behaviour and experience. It is argued that we are all Psychologists who interact with the world and make sense of why others behave the way they do. The course aims to extend our everyday observations of human behaviour by attempting to validate what is ‘known’ scientifically. As such, at the heart of the course, is the study of research methods and students will develop a solid understanding of how Psychologists research human behaviour. Students should expect to develop and refine their scientific knowledge as well as embrace the art form of Psychology, which questions, debates and discusses the explanations of a wide range of psychological phenomena.
