Introduction:
Fine Art involves learning by exploring ideas, as well as developing skills in the use of materials. You will develop your understanding of the world through questioning and increase your skill in visual expression. The Fine Art A-level is an engaging course that develops visual and creative thinking, research skills, creative problem solving, (skills valued by universities and employers) as well as the skills in originating and executing high quality, personal art work. There is no written exam for AS or A2 Fine Art. Written assessment is coursework based.
Exam Board: Edexcel
Specific Course Entry Requirements: In addition to the Minimum Entry Requirements you will need a GCSE grade A*- C in Art, Textiles or Graphic Design OR BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Art.
Additional Information: Grade A*-B in Art, Textiles or Graphic Design strongly preferred.
