PE, Sport & Recreation at SFX

The Sports Department offers a wide range of college based competitive or recreational opportunities as Enrichment Programme options. There is also access to off-site facilities for football, tennis, athletics and swimming. Club activities at lunchtime and outside college hours are available to students wishing to pursue sports in their own time, for example:

  • Indoor Football
  • Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Rugby
  • Table Tennis
  • Aerobics
  • Basketball
  • Weight Training
  • Badminton

The department organises competitive games playing in London and beyond. The football and basketball clubs have a particularly strong tradition, having won several match trophies. Girls football and netball teams are also active and play friendly matches, tournaments and competitions. We have had several successful students who have gone on to play sport at a professional level.

The department is determined to provide an opportunity for everyone to take part in an activity of his/her choice. Students are encouraged to develop their interests, and support will be given to those who wish to introduce new sports or activities.
