Prayer and Worship

SFX students and staff come together for public prayer and worship throughout the academic year. These mark important college events or Christian feasts, such as:

The Welcome Mass (Sept). Celebrates the beginning of the new academic year and asks for God’s blessing upon all SFX students and staff.

Faculty Liturgies. Students attend one faculty liturgy every year in their faculty groups. These are designed to create a time and space in busy lives to reflect on where we are at in our relationships with others, self and God.

Advent and Lent Reflections (Dec and March). These prepare students and seek to deepen their appreciation of the great feasts of Christmas and Easter.

Leavers’ Service (May). This celebrates and gives thanks for the contribution made by students who have come to the end of their time at SFX and is an opportunity to pray for God’s blessing upon all leavers and all those students preparing for exams.
