Instrument and Articles of Government currently in force are the 1st April 2009 version - modified by the Sixth Form College Corporations (Modification of Instrument and Articles of Government) (No2) Order 2012 which came into force on 31st March 2012.

St Francis Xavier College joined the new Sixth Form College sector on 1st April 2010
