
SFX Student Trips in 2012
SFX Travel and Tourism students, along with students from other subject areas, took part in the first ever SFX trip to Znojmo in the Czech republic and as part of their CAS (Creativity, Action & Service) programme, this year’s first year International Baccalaureate Diploma students spent two weeks in India.

Six-Book Challenge winners receive their prizes!
Pictured here are the winners of the Six-Book Challenge, having been awarded their £20 book tokens by Principal Mrs Flannery at a prize-giving ceremony held in the LRC. These students are to be congratulated on having read six books in six weeks and completing a diary in which they logged their views on what they had read. They all received special certificates and will be entered into a national prize draw.
SFX Boys Help London to Final
The Inner London Boys Under 18 team have reached the final of the South East England Cup competition after a comprehensive 7-1 victory over rivals Middlesex played at FC Barnet’s The Hive training ground.
‘War Horse’ Film Education Event

On the 10th January, students of English, IB, Media and Film Studies attended an educational preview screening of Steven Spielberg’s War Horse at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square.
The film tells the story of Albert, played by newcomer Jeremy Irvine, and his horse Joey as they are separated by the onset of World War 1. Albert enlists to help his country while Joey is trained to assist the army, and as the narrative unfolds, the two protagonists are thrown into the horrors of The Great War.
