Message from the Principal

Stella Flannery

Many of our students join SFX because they hear “good things” about us from friends and family. This is our most important success – that our former students recommend SFX to family and friends. You know better than anyone else what you want and need from a great education and we try to listen carefully to your views and act upon them.

Becoming a member of SFX 6th Form College is a bigger venture than merely enrolling on a set of courses. Between the ages of 16 and 18 you will find your “friends for life” and take up the challenges which will craft your future. At SFX you will step into a community which is more than a provider of educational qualifications. We know that getting the most out of life requires patience, clear vision, hard work, resilience and taking responsibility – not only for ourselves but also for others. We know that without recognising the heart and the soul of the individual we will never harness that strength and that is why we set out to connect with your talents, whether academic or interpersonal.

Studying and living in London can be hectic and it is sometimes difficult to find space and time to pause and reflect. Having a strong moral foundation is more important than ever in a swiftly changing world. Creating the opportunity to share views and values in a secure and respectful setting is a critical part of our SFX mission and helps to foster a strong and mature community.

Our goal at SFX is to prepare you for the challenges you will face in a highly competitive world but also to carve out time to support you in developing personally and spiritually. We have a track record of achieving outstanding success in a wide range of qualifications but we also have expertise in fostering the vision and values that will create great and ethical leaders of the future. If you join the SFX community we shall not stint in our efforts to fulfil those dual needs. We have a talented staff body which is excited by the transformational power of education and the creativity of young people. All of these attributes contribute to making SFX a unique community and a great place to study.

I look forward to meeting you.
